majorgeek.com has some good (and free) data retrieval tools - some geared specifically toward finding lost images (even if a file is deleted, it isn’t gone for good until something writes over that space on the hard drive).
I’ve had success with the Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery
If you have the image on disc or floppy…yes, if not…it’s gone my friend.
if u clear all the memory from the pc then u cant get back that pic
try easy recovery professional
When a file is removed from the recycle bin, the space it occupied on the hard drive is marked as empty space. The next file(s) saved to your PC will usually go over the top of those deleted files, wiping them for good. By doing a system restore, you have probably wiped the files and made them unrecoverable. But it you want to try…
Download an undelete program like freeundelete from and install and run it. (Note that downloading the software and installing the software will overwrite more of your deleted files - but at least you will have the program on your PC to use in the future should you need it)
If you are using Win2000 or XP all acounts folders are in the DocumentsAndSettings folder it still may be there (lost acount) but renamed a little (depends on the way you restored acount) you need no tools in the best case. but if it was replaced…thers’s almost no hope.
Using the recovery software that came with your computer will only restore your computer to the factory setting or the intial setting of the computer. But there are many software available now that can help you recover files that were deleted or that had been written on the hard disk.
Normally, for every file written on the disk and deleted, there is always a thread left behind. Most of the software uses, this to rebuild the files that were deleted… You should try Undelte Professional….
You may have to face the fact that the files may be lost for good. Although, there are many data recovery programs out there that may be able to get your data back. I know that have made use of StompSoft’s Recover Lost Data in the past to get image files back from deletion. The reason that I mentioned this title is that if go out and buy it you could run the application right from the CD which minimizes the chances of an overwrite. Conversely, if you go and download a program you increase the chances that your data will be overwritten by the download.
